Pinacolona é um líquido incolor. Production method

It can react with hypochlorous acid to produce trimethylacetic acid; it reacts with alkaline potassium permanganate aqueous solution and is oxidized to trimethylpyruvic acid; it is easy to undergo condensation reactions with aldehydes, ketones, and acetic anhydride. It is used to produce pesticide fungicides such as benzylchlorotriazole, triadimefon, triadimenol, bisbenzimidazole, dinadiazole, and octamazole; Pinacolone for Laboratory and Research Use,and plant growth regulators such as paclobutrazol, vinifazole, imazalil, thiabendazole, and methylimazole.
